The Drop Resource Center by GHHRC promotes the total health and well being of our clients and community through the provision of health education and tiered risk reduction programs. Through various partnerships, our program seeks to empower adults in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of substance use, HIV/AIDS, STIs, hepatitis, and other communicable diseases.
We also utilize our mobile unit to do street outreach within the Violence Free Zone or “VFZ”. Given the demographics of our core population, and this population’s HIV prevalence and risk profile, all of our activities are designed to reduce disparities, drug-related harms, and health problems among HIV-positive substance users, MSM, sex workers, and homeless individuals; including but not limited to testing for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STIs, and other communicable diseases, distributing condoms and facilitating a syringe exchange program for IDU’s.
